The Oxford-Elgin Child and Youth Centre and Oxford Community Child Care were the lucky recipients following the $5 000 donation from Oxford Junior Farmers
OXFORD COUNTY - The Oxford County Junior Farmers have made a sizable donation to two local not-for-profit agencies focused on child and youth health.
Secretary and Media Coordinator Virginia Dibble says they are making a $5 000 donation. "Every year Oxford Junior Farmers puts on the Embro Truck and Tractor Pull. We donate most of the proceeds back to local community groups. This year we were approached by the Oxford-Elgin Child and Youth Centre and Oxford Community Child Care asking if we could donate money towards them and we thought they sounded like an awesome cause to donate to."
"Part of our motto is to build future rural leaders through self help and community betterment and we've been super fortunate with the Embro Truck and Tractor Pull to be able to raise this money and pull money in from all across Ontario and we have visitors from across the United States so we feel its really important to donate that money back to our community within Oxford County," Dibble said when asked why the Oxford County Junior Farmers continue to donate to local charities.
Dibble also says the Oxford County Junior Farmers are always looking for new members and they can be contacted by emailing OxfordJF@live.com and they are also always looking for more worthwhile causes.
