Both of the online surveys will close on August 31st.
OXFORD - Budget season is fast approaching and there's still time to provide your input.
Oxford County has launched a municipal budget survey for 2027, but Warden Marcus Ryan says it will close at the end of August.
"We need to collect that public input and incorporate it into the budget wherever we can and get that in front of council. This time is will be a brand new council and they will have their first look at that in December."
The survey will close August 31st, the same day as the online survey for the next Official Plan.
Warden Ryan gives us some examples of the questions you might find for that survey.
"What are your priorities? Do you want to see green spaces protected? Do you want us to prioritize agricultural space? Do you want to see more variety of housing? Do you want to see density of housing along transit corridors? Do you want to see urban growth boundaries stay the same or should they increase?"
The Official Plan determines how the county distributes land use whether it's for residential, commercial or industrial.
Both of the online surveys can be found on the Speak Up Oxford website online here.
