Oxford EMS responded to 23,065 emergencies in 2024.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford EMS saw an increase in the number of calls last year.
Local paramedics responded to 23,065 emergencies in 2024, which is an 8.5 percent increase compared to the year before.
A report from county staff also shows that we met our ambulance response time targets last year and they remain in line with other municipalities in the province. However, it also says population growth in our community could impact the provincial targets for acute emergency calls in the future.
Oxford County Council will look over this report during this Wednesday's meeting.
