Two workers have been seriously injured on a ginseng farm and nearly $7,000 worth of good were stolen from a home in Southwest Oxford Township

Two employees at a ginseng farm were seriously injured in a farm accident.

Oxford OPP responded to a call just after 4 p.m. yesterday on a farm on Potters Road in Norwich Township. Both employees were injured while working with the water line in the field. They were transported by Oxford EMS to a local hospital with serious injuries before being transferred to a London area hospital.

Both men  sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. 

The Ministry of Labour is conducting an investigation.

Elsewhere Oxford OPP are investigating a break, enter, and theft in South West Oxford Township.

Sometime between July 22 and July 30th a locked Arctic Cat trailer on Hamilton Road was broken into. An ATV and a riding lawn mower were removed, loaded into a pickup truck belonging to the property owner, and stole the truck along with the other equipment.

The total dollar estimate of the stolen goods is around $6 700.

- 2002 Honda 4 wheel ATV, red in colour (approximate value of $1,200)
- Hustler 52 Raptor riding lawn mower, model 931899, beige in colour (approximate value of $3,500)
- 1978 Dodge pickup truck, brown in colour (approximate value of $2,000)
