Four Oxford County paramedics received their First Bar on Wednesday and one received their Second Bar.
QUEEN'S PARK - Seventy-three paramedics were honoured in Queen's Park and five of them were from Oxford County.
Michael Tibollo, the Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, presented Ben Addley, James Pemper, Bryan Vyse, Russell Chase, and Kim Moore with their Governor General Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal bars on Wednesday.
Addley, Pemper, Vyse, and Chase received their First Bar while Moore received her Second Bar. The First Bar represents 30 years of service while the Second Bar represents 40 years.
There is also a Third Bar that's awarded for 50 years of service. Only two individuals received it last week, Malcolm Gilpen from Elgin County and Michael Sanderson from Hamilton.
