The Perth County Dairy Producers Committee has donated $1,000 to help local families purchase bagged milk in support of health nutrition.
PERTH COUNTY - The Perth District Health Unit recently received a $1,000 donation from the Perth County Dairy Producers Committee.
The Committee represents 330 dairy producers in Perth County. The money will be used to help continue to provide nutrition support to local families.
Specifically it goes towards purchasing milk coupons for pregnant women and young families. It enables families to purchase bagged milk to support healthy nutrition.
Public Health Nurse Heather Kane says they are very grateful for the donation.
“Receiving continued funding from the Perth County Dairy Producers enables the Health Unit to maintain this vital program and ease the financial challenges for families. This donation will provide Perth County families greater access to nutritious food and will help support healthy growth and development in children.”
