Police say a pickup truck pulled in front of a fully loaded transport truck in South-West Oxford this morning.
SWOX - The Oxford OPP is investigating a crash involving a pickup truck and a transport truck in South-West Oxford.
Police were called out to the corner of Culloden Line and Salford Road at around 8:00 a.m. today. Sergeant Ed Sanchuk posted a video about it on the OPP West Region X page shortly after 11:00 a.m. and this is what he had to say.
"Investigation determined that the white pickup truck pulled directly in front of this fully loaded transport truck full of metal when both vehicles collided. The transport truck subsequently turned over, sending the other vehicle into the ditch."
He says two people were taken to hospital as a result.
"The operator of the transport truck was transported to hospital with minor injuries and I am glad say that the driver of the pickup truck suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries, which is the best news I can deliver all day. When we initially arrived on scene, officers thought that we were going to be dealing with a fatal collision."
Police have closed Culloden Line between Union Road and McBeth Road for the investigation.
No further details have been released.
