If you're on the 401 Saturday morning, you may see a lot of pink.
A truck convoy in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation will be hitting the highway leaving the TA Travel Centre in Woodstock at 11:15AM. They'll turn it around at the Fifth Wheel Truck Stop in Dorchester, and come back the Woodstock Travel Centre at around noon.
"Trucking for a Cure" will feature as many as 70 transports decked out in pink. The convoy will be led by "Pinky 1 and 2" - two Superior Propane trucks that are painted pink from bumper to bumper.
Marketing Manager for Superior Propane Heather Ross says the public is invited to join in the fun with a number of other events after the convoy. "There's live bands, there's the OPP Golden Helmet Motorcycle team putting on a demonstration, there's silent auctions, it is a full day event."
There's also a BBQ that runs from Noon till the event wraps up at around 4PM.
Ross says it's all for a great cause. "It's a fabulous event. Anything that we can do to raise awareness or raise money for cancer research is awesome. Both of our trucks are actually going to be at the CIBC Run for the Cure on Sunday as well."
