Four teens have been arrested after a robbery at the Pioneer Gas Bar in Tillsonburg.
TILLSONBURG - Four teens from London have been arrested after an armed robbery in Tillsonburg.
Police say the teens held up the Pioneer Gas Bar on Broadway Street with a knife on Thursday morning at 3:52 am. The suspects left the store in a waiting vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee was not injured.
OPP caught up with the vehicle on Plank Line and tried to get them to pull over. The car did not pull over and a police pursuit happened. Officers used a spike belt to get the car to stop before it was about to get onto the 401.
The following four suspects, a 15-year-old male youth, a 17-year-old male youth, a 16-year-old female youth, and a 17 year-old female youth, all from the City of London, are charged with the following and were held for a bail hearing:
- Robbery with a weapon
- Possession of property obtained by crime - over $5,000
The youths cannot be identified in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Further charges are pending and the investigation is continuing.
