The Norwich Merchants sit on top of the Doherty Division standings with 26 points.
PJHL - It was a great weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets!
They crushed the Hespeler Shamrocks 9-2 on Friday with Davin Gray and Diego Sabino each scoring twice for the Vets. The other goals were scored by Brady Carne, Aiden Kindurys, Lucas Balanca, Connor Stanley, and Charley Barnes.
Woodstock also beat the Paris Titans 2-1 on Saturday, after Nolan Brett scored the game-winning goal with just over eight minutes left in the third period.
The Norwich Merchants also had a busy weekend. They beat the Titans 5-2 on Friday before they slipped past the New Hamburg Firebirds 3-2 on Saturday and fell to the Dorchester Dolphins 3-2 yesterday.
The Tavistock Braves suffered a 5-2 loss to the Wellesley Applejacks on Friday.
The Merchants are leading the Doherty Division standings with 26 points. The Firebirds and the Applejacks are currently tied for second place with 24 points each and they're closely followed by the Navy Vets with 23 points. The Dolphins sit in fourth place with 16 points and they're followed by the Braves with 13 points, the Titans with 10 points, and the Shamrocks with eight points.
Over in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans celebrated a 4-3 victory over the Petrolia Flyers on Friday.
Thamesford sits in fourth place in the Yeck Division standings, behind the North Middlesex Stars with 19 points, the Flyers with 26 points, and the Exeter Hawks with 30 points.
