The Navy Vets celebrated a 6-3 win over the Merchants on Friday and a 6-2 win over the Applejacks on Saturday.
PJHL - It was a winning weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets.
They doubled the Norwich Merchants 6-3 on Friday. Brodie Kearns scored two goals for Woodstock with the rest scored by Nolan Brett, Brady Carne, Ty Crombie, and Tyler Smeda.
The Vets also crushed the Wellesley Applejacks 6-2 on Saturday. Tyler Bouck finished the night with 42 saved for Woodstock.
The Merchants were in Tavistock on Saturday, where they tied the Braves 2-2.
The Navy Vets are leading the Doherty Division standings with 27 points. The Braves are in third place with 15 points and the Merchants are tied for fourth place with the Hespeler Shamrocks with 12 points each.
Meanwhile in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans suffered a 2-1 loss to the Port Stanley Sailors on Friday but absolutely demolished the Aylmer Spitfires 8-1 yesterday. The Trojans are in second place in the division standings with 24 points, behind the North Middlesex Stars with 26 points.
