PJHL - It was a rough weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets.
They fell to the Paris Titans 6-5 on Friday, with Tyler Bouck making 39 saves for Woodstock. Woodstock also suffered a 7-3 loss to the Wellesley Applejacks on Saturday with Cooper Vickerman, Rashaad Eichenberg, and Will McGregor scoring for the Vets.
The Applejacks beat the Tavistock Braves 3-2 in overtime on Friday.
The Norwich Merchants fell to the Dorchester Dolphins 3-2 in a shootout on Friday, but they bounced back with a 3-0 victory over the Hespeler Shamrocks yesterday.
The Merchants sit on top of the Doherty Division standings with seven points. They're followed by the Applejacks with six points, and the Braves and Dolphins with five points each. The Shamrocks sit in fourth place with four points, the Navy Vets are tied for fifth place with the New Hamburg Firebirds with three points each, and the Titans sit in last place with two points.
The Thamesford Trojans also crushed the North Middlesex Stars in the Yeck Division with a final score of 7-5 on Friday. The Trojans lead the Yeck Division with seven points, while the Stars sit in second place with six points.
