The Woodstock Navy Vets suffered two losses over the weekend, 7-1 to New Hamburg on Friday and 6-1 to Wellesley on Saturday.
PJHL - It was a rough weekend for the Woodstock Navy Vets
They suffered a 7-1 loss to the New Hamburg Firebirds at Southwood Arena Friday night. Patrick Holloway scored the lone goal for Woodstock and Joseph Clark finished the night with 32 saves. The Vets also fell to the Applejacks in Wellesley 6-1 Saturday night.
The Applejacks doubled the Merchants in Norwich 4-2 Friday night, but Norwich bounced back with a 4-1 victory over the Firebirds yesterday.
The Tavistock Braves fell to the Hespeler Shamrocks 6-5 on Friday and doubled the Paris Mounties 4-2 on Saturday.
Looking at the Doherty Division standings, the Firebirds are currently in first place with 44 points, followed by the Applejacks with 36 points, the Braves with 29 points, the Merchants with 27 points, the Navy Vets with 23 points, the Shamrocks with 10 points, and the Mounties with five points.
Meanwhile in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans demolished the Dorchester Dolphins on Friday with a final score of 8-3. The Trojans are currently leading the division with 37 points.
