Woodstock Police and the Oxford OPP handed out nearly 100 tickets during their Operation Zero traffic safety blitz.
Woodstock Police and Oxford OPP officers teamed up to hand out 67 speeding tickets during Operation Zero this week.
The two day traffic blitz also resulted in 3 people being charged with Stunt driving and 3 people were also charged with distracted driving. Police also charged 3 drivers with suspended driving and 19 other traffic tickets were issued during the blitz.
The Joint Forces Traffic Safety Initiative happened on Wednesday and Thursday of this week with officers providing an extra focus in school zones.
Police also warned 39 drivers for various infractions. Police further conducted 3 Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspections.
In particular, 1 traffic stop resulted in a driver being charged with 8 various infractions, including Suspended Driving and Driving without Insurance.
The OPP and Woodstock Police will be teaming up again for Operation Zero in the Winter.
