Police say the two parties involved were not known to each other in an incident at the 7-11 on Huron St. involving a knife. One person was left with minor injuries.
WOODSTOCK - Police were quick to respond to an assault involving a knife at the 7-11 on Huron St. on Saturday.
Around 9:40p.m. a 41 year old Woodstock male approached an unknown male who was sitting in a parked pickup truck at the 7-11 store.
Police say the male opened the passenger door of the truck and damaged the truck's interior with a knife.
The suspect made a motion towards the driver, resulting in the the driver being injured and taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect then fled on foot and was caught shortly after.
The suspect has been charged with Assault with a Weapon, Mischief under $5000.00 and Breach of Probation.
The two parties involved were not known to each other.
