NORFOLK COUNTY - Norfolk County OPP have a positive 9-1-1 story to share.
The force has received plenty of attention over the last month with numerous stories about silly and benign calls to 9-1-1, like the mother who called police about her adult daughter playing too many video games. However this most recent call from a 7 year old boy likely saved his mother's life. Police say the boy made the call on Friday night.
Police and EMS arrived on the scene and they were able to take the boy's mother to the hospital. Constable Ed Sanchuk says the officers were impressed that the boy knew exactly what to do.
"The OPP would like to take this opportunity to thank this little boy. He did an excellent job in recognizing that his mother needed medical assistance and he immediately contacted 9-1-1."
