A 30-year-old from St. Thomas has died in the westbound lanes near Paris.
PARIS - The Brant OPP is investigating a crash involving two tractor trailers and a pickup truck on Highway 403 near Paris.
The call came in at around 5:00 p.m. yesterday and Constable Andrew Gamble had this to say in a video posted on the OPP West Region X page.
"What I can tell you is that the driver of one of the tractor trailers sustained life threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the second tractor trailer was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries and the driver of the pickup truck was uninjured."
The person who passed away has been identified as a 30-year-old from St. Thomas.
Police had closed the westbound lanes of Highway 403 between Rest Acres Road and Middle Townline Road for several hours, but the area reopened early this morning.

One driver was pronounced deceased at the scene, while another was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
