INGERSOLL - Police are searching for 2 men and 6 women after a break and enter at the Lesser Brothers Jewellers in Ingersoll.
OPP say the team of suspects used a distraction technique to break into a locked cabinet display on Saturday morning around 11:30. The 8 suspects made off with around $99,000 in jewellery.
The suspects left the store on foot and it's believed they left the area in a dark coloured SUV.
The two male suspects are described as possibly being in their 30's, round 6'0 tall with average builds, dark hair and dark facial hair, wearing bomber style jackets and jeans.
OPP searched and canvassed the area but did not locate the suspects. The six adult females were all covered up wearing plain dark cover up/full length dresses, wearing head scarves.
The OPP is asking residents to be vigilant in recognizing suspicious people or vehicles that are in your community. It is important for this information to get to police when the suspects may still be in the area.
