Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Deputy Premier Christine Elliott missed the daily press briefing today and are being tested for COVID-19. Education Minister Stephen Lecce was tested yesterday.
UPDATE: Both Premier Ford and Christine Elliott have tested negative for COVID-19.
Because they have not come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 they do not need to self isolate and will continue to follow Public Health Guidelines according to a statement from the Premiers office.
ONTARIO - The Premier of Ontario Doug Ford is getting tested for COVID-19 today.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce was tested for the virus yesterday after he learned he had come into contact with an infected person.
As a result of this, the Premier and Deputy Premier Christine Elliott will be getting tested for the virus. They were not at the daily press conference today where the Minister of Colleges and Universities Ross Romano announced a framework to reopen post secondary schools.

The Premiers nephew, Toronto councillor Michael Ford tested positive for the novel coronavirus tested positive. The tests being taken by Ford and Elliott are being done out of the abundance of caution.
Lecce has also issued a statement saying he did test negative for the virus.
