Police have arrested two people and recovered $60,000 in prescription drugs after a robbery in Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - A man walked into a business on Norwich Avenue with a hammer and a duffle bag demanding prescription narcotics.
Police say the robbery happened on Monday afternoon and the man walked right to the prescription drop off counter with his weapon demanding the drugs. A woman stood at the front of the business as a look out.
The couple left with around $60,000 worth of drugs. Two citizens took a photo of the couple and their getaway car which was crucial in helping police arrest the suspects. Durham Regional Police found the pair shortly after midnight on Tuesday and arrested both parties.
24 year old Jordan Kruger and 25 year old Dawn Briggs of Beaverton were charged with robbery.
Police were able to recover all of the prescription drugs.
