BARRIE - A private funeral service will be taking place in Barrie, to honour the 28-year-old OPP officer who was killed west of Hagersville.
Constable Grzegorz Pierzchala was killed in what police have described as an "ambush" attack on Tuesday December 27th. He was shot and killed while he responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in a ditch west of Hagersville, and two people have been charged with first-degree murder.
