Most of the new cases today are from hot spot regions with 584 new cases in Toronto, 265 in Peel and 132 in York Region. The Province also confirmed 46 new cases of the UK variant of COVID-19.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,563 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 273,660.
The Province has now confirmed 6,393 deaths related to COVID-19. Meanwhile another 1,956 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 250,937. The Province has confirmed 42 new cases of the UK variant of COVID-19, bringing the total to 152 and 1 case of the South African variant.
The province completed 64,467 tests yesterday. We currently have 1,001 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 323 people in the ICU and 241 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases are coming from hot spot regions with 584 new cases in Toronto, 265 in Peel and 132 in York Region.
