The Province confirmed 161 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and another 3 deaths. Meanwhile the number of people hospitalized from the virus, is the lowest it has been in month at 265.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 161 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, which is a 0.5% increase and brings the total number of cases in the Province to 33,637.
The Province also confirmed another 3 deaths bringing the total to 2,609 and 1,654 of those deaths were residents in Long Term Care Homes. Meanwhile the total number of resolved cases now sits at 28,933.
5,364 of the COVID-19 cases in Ontario since the pandemic started were residents of Long Term Care Homes and 2,192 cases are from health care workers.
We currently have 265 COVID-19 patients in the hospital, 76 are in the ICU and 58 are in the ICU on a ventilator. The Province completed 21,900 tests yesterday.
