The Province of Ontario confirmed 178 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and another 11 deaths. Meanwhile another 252 people have made a full recovery and the number of people hospitalized by COVID-19 continues to drop.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 178 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, which is a 0.5% increase and brings the total number of cases in the Province to 33,095.
The Province also confirmed another 11 deaths bringing the total to 2,564 and 1,645 of those deaths were residents in Long Term Care Homes. Meanwhile another 252 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 28,250.
5,384 of the COVID-19 cases in Ontario since the pandemic started were residents of Long Term Care Homes and 2,142 cases are from health care workers.
We currently have 331 COVID-19 patients in the hospital, 82 are in the ICU and 65 are in the ICU on a ventilator. The Province completed 25,278 tests yesterday.
