Province Confirms 251 New Cases of COVID-19 This Morning

The Province of Ontario has confirmed 251 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 11 additional deaths. meanwhile another 551 people have made a full recovery.

ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 251 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, which is a 0.7% increase and brings the total number of cases in the Province to 31,341.  

The Province also confirmed another 11 deaths bringing the total to 2,474 and 1,591 of those deaths were residents in Long Term Care Homes. Meanwhile another 551 people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 25,380.  

5,294 of the COVID-19 cases in Ontario since the pandemic started were residents of Long Term Care Homes and 1,963 cases are from health care workers. 

We currently have 580 COVID-19 patients in the hospital, 118 are in the ICU and 86 are in the ICU on a ventilator. The Province completed 19,941 tests yesterday.
