ST. THOMAS - Elizabeth Wettlaufer's actions will be put under a microscope today.

A public inquiry will get underway at the Elgin County Courthouse this morning; as officials try to determine how she injected more than a dozen patients with overdoses of insulin while working as a nurse in Woodstock and London.

Co-Lead Commissioned Counsel Mark Zigler says they will hear from 17 parties.

"The evidence will mostly come from the people who worked in the facilities where Wettlaufer worked or who managed them. Also from the corner's themselves the College of Nurses and finally from the government officials who are responsible for the regulation of long-term care homes."

Zigler says today's meeting will be the first of many.

"The hearings will go through all of June, a couple weeks in July, a couple of weeks in August and then some witnesses for a few days in September."

You can find a complete list of all the dates online here.

Today's events will get underway at 9:30 a.m. They will also be live streamed
