50-thousand dollars has been raised so far for the families of the migrant workers, killed or injured in that brutal crash last week. The Migrant Workers Family Support Fund was set up by the United Food and Commercial Workers Union. The UFCW says 100 per cent of that fund will go towards helping the families of the 13 workers, 10 of which died in the Hampstead crash. It will also go towards the family of the truck driver that was killed that fateful Monday night. You can donate money to the fund on-line, through PayPal here.
