United Way Oxford will be hosting its Community Celebration at The Mill in Tillsonburg on Thursday March 30th.
OXFORD COUNTY - Registration is officially open for United Way Oxford's 2022 Community Celebration.
The celebration is being hosted by The Mill in Tillsonburg at 5:30 p.m. on March 30th. The event is FREE to attend, and the entire community is encouraged to come out and celebrate with the team.
Resource Development Coordinator Mike Crabbe says the celebration is a great way to highlight the successes of the past year.
"We are going to reflect on the past campaign year and celebrate the wins. Remember the importance of coming together as a community. That's one thing I've learned in my time at United Way. We are such a tight-knit community and when we know each other and know what everyone is up too we're able to make more of an impact."
Some campaigns they are remembering include Local Love, Warm Up Woodstock, Giving Tuesday, 12 Days of Giveaways, and Tampon Tuesday.
Resource Development Coordinator Mike Crabbe says they are presenting awards for this year's biggest local supporters.
'The workplace that does the most fundraising compared to their last year's amount will get an award, we call that the Quantum Leap Award. We give out a Local Love Award for those who have found new and fun ways to show their local love. If you are running a campaign at a workplace you are called an employee campaign champion, and we award the newbies who have stepped up for the company."
He adds there are a ton of different themes they like to celebrate during these events.
You can register for the event online here.
Crabbe stopped by the Heart FM Studio on Wednesday March 15th to chat with Dan and Marcie. You can listen to the full interview below:
