SWPH reporting 8 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, 18 recoveries and the 90th related death in the region.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health confirmed 8 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 18 recoveries.
The Health Unit also confirmed the 90th COVID-19 related death in our region this morning. The deceased is a man in his 80's from Elgin County.
This brings our total number of ongoing cases to 76 and you can find the complete breakdown below:

Malahide - 2
Three people are currently being treated for the virus in hospital, including one patient in the ICU. The outbreak at Elgin Manor in St. Thomas has been declared over.
The Health Unit says 86.2 percent of eligible residents have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 81.9 percent have been fully vaccinated.
