ReusepalooZaha will takeover the Zorra-Embro Community Hall this Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
ZORRA - The ReusepalooZaha is coming to Embro.
They say one man's trash is another man's treasure, and on Saturday, August 13th, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., a giant free swap meet is taking place at the Zorra-Embro Community Hall.
The OPAL Alliance is organizing the event, and president Bryan Smith explains the purpose of the event.
"It's really about [bringing] things that would otherwise be cast off and would then get used by somebody."
You can bring pretty much anything to swap, but there are certain items that are on the unwanted list.
Residential garbage or anything that may be considered disgusting, hazardous waste or chemicals, and large items like furniture are all discouraged.
The event also has other great causes involved within it. 4-H is taking part in the event, bringing coffee and tasty jams and jellies to raise money for their cause. Ukrainian families have also been invited to the event, giving anyone the chance to talk to them and learn how they can help.
More information is available here.
Bryan Smith stopped by the Heart FM studio yesterday morning to chat with Dan and Marcie and you can listen to the full interview below.
