Woodstock City Council is getting ready for their upcoming Revenue Fund Budget Meetings.
CAO David Creery and Treasurer Patrice Hilderley discussed the potential budget with council during Thursday night's meeting.
Creery presented some proposed additions to the base budget, some which include changes to the city's website. These changes would improve the way services are delivered to residents online.
Creery says other potential additions involve city staffing.
"They're related to the fact that we are a growing community; that the staff stretch only for so long before it ultimately ends up in a level of service reduction."
A new recreation centre will be opening along
Council will meet again on February 21st and 23rd in order to go through the draft budget itself. The meetings will be public and Creery tells Heart FM why people should attend.
"The budget is the single most important document for any corporation because it's where you decide where to put that next dollar. So where will you spend that fresh dollar in your organization? How will you prioritize where your investments go? This is the document where you can actually see that happening."
Both meetings will take place at City Hall and they will begin at 5:15 p.m.
