The Home and School Association is raising funds for new playground equipment for the Kindergarten play area.
INGERSOLL - Lots of people will be heading to Royal Roads Public School in Ingersoll for the second annual Family Fun Day!
It's from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Jasmyne MacDonell, a member of the Home and School Association, says there will be lots to do.
"We're going to have some food trucks, touch-a-truck, an obstacle course sponsored by Anytime Fitness, face painting, paid games, free games, the mobile library, crafter's corner, a cake walk, vendors, and a 100 plus item silent auction!"
The silent auction items include a Ninja air fryer, gift cards to Jax Jungle in Woodstock, and more.
Deb Wilson, another member of the Home and School Association, she says all of the money raised will go to a good cause.
"Right now in the Kindergarten area there is not much for the Kindergartens to do besides roll around in sand and mud. So as the parent of a Kindergarten, it would be really nice to have some equipment so we're not scrubbing our kids clothes every single night."
Jasmyne MacDonell and Deb Wilson stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Wednesday, June 10th. You can listen to the full interview below:
