Tickets are selling fast for this year's Runway of Stars in support of WDDS.
WOODSTOCK - The Runway of Stars is back for another year!
Krystan Maclean, the Communications Coordinator for Woodstock District Developmental Services (WDDS) says the annual event will take place on Thursday May 8th at the Oxford Auditorium.
"Some of the people we support, they ask to walk down the runway each year, and for every internal model that we have, we pair them with a community model who we call community stars, and there just people who really, really add a lot of value to our community."
The community stars are nominated and include educators, local politicians, librarians, business owners, as well as first responders.
Maclean adds the stars will also model local fashion.
"We have so many local fashion retailers that help us out in making all our models look amazing. Each of our internal models walks down the runway in local fashion, so this year we've got Roberts & Co, Giant Tiger, Zabian's, Hometown Style, Bear and Fox, On Trend, Good Will is actually in this year."
The event will be catered by European Meats and Deli as well as have live music performances.
This is WDDS's big fundraiser of the year, and tickets are going fast. To purchase a ticket or learn more, visit the Runway of Stars website.
Krystan Maclean stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Monday April 7th. You can listen to the full interview below:
