The International Paralympic Committee has decided ban Russian and Belarusian athletes from competing at the Beijing Paralympics.
BEIJING - The International Paralympic Committee has changed it's mind.
It has decided to ban Russian and Belarusian athletes from competing at the Beijing Paralympics due to their countries' involvement in the war in Ukraine.
The committee originally said it was going to allow the athletes to compete as neutral athletes; without colours, flags or national symbols. It faced a lot of backlash for that decision and changed it's mind less than 24-hours later.
The Beijing Paralympics will officially begin on Friday March 4th and end on Sunday March 13th.
