The Woodstock Santa Claus parade will take over Dundas Street this Saturday starting at 6:00 p.m.
WOODSTOCK - Santa Claus is checking his list for the Friendly City.
Manager of Special Events, Kristen Brodhagen says Woodstock will be getting in the holiday spirit this weekend.
"The parade is one of Woodstock's favourite events of the year, it's really magical. We have returned to the night parade, so at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18th."
She says Santa will be the grand finale, but there will also be bands, community floats, inflatables, and entertainers. Brodhagen explains how traffic will be affected during the event.
"The parade will start at the Woodstock Fairgrounds, and will end in Victoria Park. So, it will follow along Dundas for the entire route, and the road closures will begin at around 4:00 p.m."
She adds the roads should open back up by 7:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. at the latest, once the parade has finished.
