Community Futures of Oxford, Norfolk and Elgin are teaming up to offer a self employment training class in Tillsonburg.
TILLSONBURG - Registration is now open for a new Self Employment Training class in Tillsonburg.
The program includes eight sessions that will take place at the library between 9:30am and 12:30pm.
General Manager Allan Simm says it's for those who have been impacted by local plant closures and layoffs.
"There's an opportunity for you to explore self employment, to start your own business and to get started in a different career."
Simm says it's a great opportunity for a fresh start.
"We will be in class and doing some hands on business planning and research to help you get started and make sure you're off on the right step."
The first class will take place on April 26th and they will continue on Tuesday's and Thursday's until the final class on May 24th.
The schedule is as follows;
Information and Self Assessment - Thursday April 26th.
Concept Classes - Tuesday May 1st, Thursday May 3rd, Tuesday May 8th and Thursday May 10th.
Business Planning - Thursday May 17th, Tuesday May 22nd and Thursday May 24th.
