Police say they caught a man shoplifting and found him to be in possession of Fentanyl and a passport that did not belong to him.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have arrested a 31 year old man from Woodstock with shoplifting and possession.
Police say the man was putting several items into his backpack at a local store on Norwich Ave. When Police arrived on scene, they noticed he was also carrying a small dime sized bag of a purple powder substance, believed to be Fentanyl and a passport of another person.
The man has been charged with:
- Theft Under $5000 – Shoplifting
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Possession of an Identity Document
The male has been released on a promise to appear at court on another date.
