The Oxford OPP is investigating two shooting incidents, one on Peggy Ave in South-West Oxford yesterday morning and another on Fennell Street in Blandford-Blenheim on Monday March 6th. No one was hurt.
SWOX/BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - Police are on the lookout for a silver pickup truck after two shooting incidents in Oxford County.
According to the Oxford OPP, someone fired several rounds of a firearm on Peggy Ave in South-West Oxford at around 10:15 a.m. yesterday, damaging the residence and the vehicles parked in the driveway. The truck was spotted fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
The OPP responded to another shooting on Fennell Street in Blandford-Blenheim at around 8:00 a.m. on Monday March 6th. A local resident had called police after noticing that the vehicles parked in their driveway had been struck by several rounds of a firearm. After further investigation, police determined that shooting took place at around 1:00 a.m. that morning and officers believe the same pickup truck may have been involved.
No one was hurt as a result of these shootings, and the Oxford OPP would like anyone living in the shooting areas to check their surveillance footage and report any suspicious activity to police.
