South Gate Centre will host grand unveiling celebration for its new expansion on Saturday November 29th.
WOODSTOCK - South Gate Centre is getting ready to unveil its new expansion to the public.
It will be hosting a grand unveiling celebration on Saturday November 29th, to showcase the new multi-purpose hall in the facility that can hold up to 400 people. The ticketed event includes a big band ensemble and you can find more information on the South Gate Centre website online here.
Some of the other new additions in the expansion include new lounge areas, atrium areas and programming space.
The expansion had a budget of $9 million, with the city providing $7.8 million and South Gate raising $1.2 million through events. The construction contract came in at $7,178,890 (including HST) when it was awarded in the spring of 2024.
The groundbreaking took place in July of 2024 in hopes of having the expansion completely by July, 2025.
