The City of Woodstock has avoided any major flooding issues in this week's rainfall. While a lot of people are reporting getting water in their basements, City Engineer Harold DeHaan says a little preventative maintenance has gone a long way. "Basically yesterday, we had crews out, all three shifts, clearing access to the catch basins, clearing the snow piles back so the water could enter into the storm system." DeHaan says the one area that has seen substantial flooding is along Cedar Creek. "That's already on your website, there's obviously been some flooding along Cedar Creek, in Southside Park, but we haven't heard of any major issues of private property or flooding of structures."
