Impaired Drivers Busted in Oxford County

Charges have been laid in two separate impaired driving related incidents in Oxford County.

NORWICH TOWNSHIP - Someone from Burgessville is facing a list of charges after OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 59.

The 30-year-old was pulled over Wednesday night and charged with dangerous operation, operation while impaired, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, and being a novice driver with a blood alcohol level over 80.

Their licence has been suspended for 90 days and their vehicle has been impounded for a week. 

They will appear in a Woodstock courtroom in October.

SWOX - A 36-year-old from Thornhill is facing impaired driving charges in Oxford County

OPP officers responded to reports of a possible impaired driver on Highway 401 near Woodstock last night.

They found the vehicle at the Woodstock OnRoute and the driver was charged with dangerous operation, operation while impaired, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, and driving a vehicle with an open container of liquor.

On top of all this; the driver also faces a 90 day licence suspension, a week-long vehicle impound, and they have an October court date in Woodstock.
