We are down to just 44 active cases of COVID-19 in the entire Southwestern Public Health Region after the Health confirmed another 18 resolved cases today.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting 1 new case of the virus today and 18 resolved cases.
We currently have 1 person with the virus in the hospital and they are in the ICU. The Health Unit is reporting 44 active cases. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:

Norwich Township - 3

Central Elgin - 1
The Health Unit is also reporting two active outbreaks at local long term care homes at the Bethany Care Home in Norwich and Maples Retirement Home in Tavistock. In both cases, 1 resident has tested positive for COVID-19.
