Southwestern Public Health Confirms 32 New Cases of COVID-19 This Morning

SWPH is now reporting active cases counts of 177 in the region. 8 people are currently in the hospital with the virus, including 3 in the ICU.

OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health confirmed 32 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 18 resolved cases. 

This means our active case count has risen to 177 and you can find the complete break down below;

Woodstock - 48

Blandford-Blenheim - 11

Ingersoll - 9

Zorra Township - 5

South-West Oxford - 4

Tillsonburg - 4

East Zorra-Tavistock - 2

Norwich Township - 1

St. Thomas - 55

Aylmer - 15

Bayham - 7

Dutton-Dunwich - 7

Central Elgin - 5

Malahide - 3

Southwold - 1 

Eight people are currently being treated for the virus at the hospital, with three of those patients in the ICU.

Southwestern Public Health have now administered at least one dose of vaccine to 20,509 people or 11.6% of the population. 

An outbreak has been declared at the Caressant Care Bonnie Place in St. Thomas and Metcalfe Gardens in St. Thomas.
