For the second day in a row, Southwestern Public Health is reporting 6 new cases of the virus today and 7 resolved cases.
OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - For the second day in a row, Southwestern Public Health is reporting 6 new cases of the virus today and 7 resolved cases.
We currently have 1 person with the virus in the hospital and they are in the ICU. The Health Unit is reporting 42 active cases. Here is the breakdown of the locations according to Southwestern Public Health:
Woodstock - 9
Norwich Township - 4
Zorra Township - 3
East Zorra-Tavistock - 3
Blandford-Blenheim - 2
Ingersoll - 2
Tillsonburg - 1
South-West Oxford - 1
Aylmer - 13
St. Thomas - 2
Central Elgin - 2
The Health Unit is also reporting three active outbreaks at local long term care homes at the Arches Transitional Bed Program in Woodstock, Bethany Care Home in Norwich and Maples Retirement Home in Tavistock. In all three cases only 1 person has tested positive, two residents and 1 staff member at the Arches Transitional Bed program.
