Southwestern Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 for the third day in a row. Right now Oxford County has five cases in total and Elgin and St.Thomas has two cases overall.
OXFORD/ELGIN/ST.THOMAS - For the third consecutive day, there are no new cases COVID-19 to report in the Southwestern Public Health region.
Currently, Oxford County has five cases in total. There are three in East Zorra-Tavistock and Woodstock and Tillsonburg each have one. Meanwhile, Elgin and St.Thomas has two overall.
SWPH has had three institutional outbreaks with the latest happening at the Secord Trails in Ingersoll. The outbreak was declared on May 18th after there were eight cases that involved staff members at the long-term care facility. All institutional outbreaks have since been resolved.
There have 8,162 tests to date, receiving 7,610 and 552 test results still pending. There have been 7,528 tests that have come back negative.
Since the pandemic began SWPH has had 82 cumulative confirmed cases with 71 resolved and four deaths.
