Environment Canada is calling for heavy rain, strong winds and the possibility of freezing rain this weekend.
OXFORD COUNTY - Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the region, including Oxford County.
They say rain on Saturday night could turn into freezing rain after midnight. Rainfall amounts of 15 to 25 mm are expected before the rain tapers off late Sunday morning or early Sunday afternoon.
Ponding of water on streets with blocked storm drains and in low lying areas is possible.
Severe wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/hr are likely to happen on Sunday throughout much of the day. The rain and wind are associated with a Colorado Low that will track through Northeastern Ontario on Sunday.
