STRATFORD - Police have arrested a 19 year-old Stratford man for impaired driving.
Police responded yesterday shortly before 1:00 am when the driver's grey pick-up truck was found in a ditch on Line 14 near Road 130 in South Perth.
They saw the front end of the vehicle, a Chevrolet Silverado, had received extensive damage while entering the ditch. The truck was abandoned and police were not able to find anyone else in the area.

He was arrested for impaired driving and transported to the Sebringville OPP Detachment where he underwent a blood alcohol reading. The man was found to have over the legal limit of alcohol in his system and he is facing the following charges:
- Operation While Impaired - Operation,
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration.
He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with being a novice driver with a blood alcohol concentration above zero, and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
He was released from custody on a promise to appear for the criminal offences and he is scheduled to appear in court on September 23rd.
