Police pulled over a car for having improper license plates and ended up arrested all 5 occupants and seizing $4,600 in Fentanyl.
STRATFORD - Stratford Police arrested five people after pulling over a car using the Automatic Licence Plate Recognition System.
The ALPRS system detected a car on Ontario street that belonged to a suspended driver and did not have proper licence plates. When police stopped the car, they arrested the 41 year old driver. They also found 15 grams and a syringe of liquid fentanyl, methamphetamine, bear spray and a hatchet. All four passengers were arrested on various possession and weapons related charges. One of the passengers was also wanted by Waterloo Regional Police.
Stratford Police did not release the names of the driver or his four passengers. When police further searched the car they found another 12 grams of fentanyl and credit cards that did not belong to the driver or any of the passengers.
The street value of controlled substances seized by police is $4,600.00.
