The United Way Oxford Student Stair Climb will take place this Friday, November 25.
OXFORD - The new date for the United Way Oxford Student Stair Climb has been decided.
The event where students from seven local high schools compete to raise the most money for United Way will take place this Friday at Southwood Arena.
Resource Development Coordinator Julie Rutherford says everyone at United Way as well as the students are thrilled that the Student Stair Climb is back on.
"We're so excited to get everything going. Everybody's been great putting the new date in, rallying around us, and confirming their attendance so we're really excited to get all seven high schools out. It gave the schools extra time to fundraise which a lot are doing, which is awesome.
Rutherford said that they expect around 1300 students. The United Way Student Stair Climb was originally supposed to happen on Thursday, November 3rd, but it had to be postponed due to fog-related bus cancellations.
