The man accused of killing four members of a Muslim family appeared in court today.
Twenty year old Nathaniel Veltman has been charged with four counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted murder in what police called an act of hatred.
In court today, Veltman confirmed he has retained a lawyer.
One June 6th, Salman Afzaal, his wife Madiha, their daughter Yumna and her grandmother Talat Afzaal were killed while going out for a walk.
Nine year old Fayez Afzaal was the sole survivor.
